About Us

Where it all started from tool wants to Antique Tools.

It all started with a Stanley #104 level. I went garage saling with my Dad that Saturday morning and saw the level, but didn’t buy it because he had given me the family heirloom Handyman H #1297. Who would need two levels in their lifetime, right? Well, Dad proceeded to complain about my inability to purchase this bargain and so to pacify him, I went back up to the lady with my money. I told her the same story and while emphasizing a point, the dime flipped out of my hand, bounced on the table and went right down the lady’s’ blouse! That did it! Took the level back to the van, waved it as I told dad of this new development (and my corresponding embarrassment) and proceeded to throw the level to the back of the vehicle. Thats what started it all-a 10 cent #104 level. I still have that level today (along with probably 60 other levels and how many ever tools) and I still have my dad, at 91 years old. Love both of them, but spend more time with my dad then my tools right now. As I always say “everyone has a story” and now you know mine. I would like to hear your story sometime real soon.
